I was born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and graduated form Cupeyville School in 1997. I later went to do a Bachelors of Science (Animal Science) in Cornell University in 2001.
I obtained my Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from the University of Wisconsin – Madison in 2004, followed by an Internship in small animal medicine and surgery at The Ohio State University in 2005.
I have a personal interest in endurance sports events, which in turn motivated me to expand my knowledge in rehabilitation for my patients. I then proceeded to obtain my certification as a canine rehabilitation therapist (CCRT) through the Canine Rehabilitation Institute in 2011.
